Grounds for Connection: A Sunday Fatherhood Meetup with Capital One & Dads Coffee Club

There’s something grounding about a slow Sunday morning. No pressure, no agenda. Just the chance to be present. On July 14, that’s exactly what we created in Downtown LA with our partners Capital One and Dads Coffee Club.

Inside the Capital One Café, dads from all walks of life came together over a warm cup of coffee and real conversation. There were no speakers, no panels—just space to exhale, share stories, and connect with other men walking through fatherhood.

From new fathers to seasoned girl dads and co-parenting champions, the room was filled with lived experience and unfiltered honesty. We talked about sleep schedules and sneaker drops, career pivots and childcare hacks. And even in a world that too often leaves dads out of the conversation, this one made room for everyone.

What We Did

We hosted a laid-back Sunday morning meetup for dads, centered around conversation, connection, and community support. No formal agenda, just real talk.

How It Came Together

With the support of Capital One, Rolling With Dads and Dads Coffee Club, were able to create an open and welcoming environment where dads could show up exactly as they are. No pressure, just a safe space to connect and be seen.

The Impact

For many, it was the first time they’d been in a room full of other fathers simply talking about life. The ease of the space invited honesty, laughter, and a powerful reminder that they’re not in this alone.

Why It Matters

Fatherhood can feel isolating. But it doesn’t have to be. When we create intentional spaces for dads to connect, reflect, and build community, we remind them they’re part of something bigger—and that support is always within reach.
