Read & Roll: Daddy & Me Storytime

Books, bagels, and bonding — that’s what our latest Read & Roll event was all about. This gathering brought dads and their kids together for a morning filled with storytelling, laughter, and connection. It’s part of our ongoing mission to encourage fathers to be present and engaged, reminding our community that literacy and togetherness start right at home.

What We Did

Hosted in partnership with the Los Angeles Public Library, our Read & Roll event created a space where dads and kids could slow down, open a book, and share quality time together. Families enjoyed story time sessions, crafts, and light bites courtesy of Boechik Bagels — with a special shoutout to Yumi, whose donations continue to help us serve families at each of our events.

The library was filled with the sound of pages turning, kids giggling, and dads sharing stories that reminded everyone that fatherhood is about showing up — even in the small, quiet moments.

The Impact

Events like Read & Roll remind us how powerful simple acts can be. Reading together builds literacy, strengthens emotional connection, and shows kids that learning is something to be celebrated. For many of our dads, this was more than a Saturday morning event — it was an opportunity to create a memory that their children will carry for years.

Why It Matters

Rolling With Dads exists to empower fathers to lead with presence, purpose, and pride. The Read & Roll event brought that mission to life by merging two things that build strong families — literacy and quality time.

We’re proud to continue creating spaces where dads feel supported, kids feel inspired, and community feels closer than ever.
